Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 & 2: Chobe National Park

Arrive into Kasane where you will be picked up in a safari vehicle. Soon you will be off-road so keep that camera ready! Your home for the next two nights is the luxury kwalape safari lodge which enjoys a peaceful riverfront setting within the Chobe National Park. On morning and afternoon game drives, look out for the diverse wildlife including the famous herds of elephant, whilst an afternoon river cruise in a near silent electric boat, allows close encounters with river life as well as a magical sunset over a drink.

  • DAY 3 & 4: Savuti

Transfer to Kasane airport and board your light aircraft for a scenic flight to Savuti. The plane leaves the snaking Chobe River behind and turns inland over drier bushland punctuated by the occasional waterhole. Touch down 45 minutes later at the airstrip and transfer to Savute Safari Lodge which has beautiful thatched chalets overlooking a waterhole which attracts a large variety of wildlife.

Game drives incorporate a visit to the Savuti Marsh, vast open grasslands which attract large herds and in turn, the predators including the well documented ‘Marsh Pride’ of lions. Guests can also enjoy a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.

  • DAY 5 & 6: Okavango Delta

Today’s 35 minute flight will pass over more beautiful landscapes as the bush slowly gives way to the watery wilderness that is the Okavango Delta. Treacle coloured rivers meander their way through flooded grasslands  studded with islands. A short walk from the airstrip, Camp Okavango is a hidden treasure built entirely on raised wooden platforms that showcase the beautiful delta scenery. During your two nights, experience that most iconic of Okavango activities, a mokoro trip that will glide you through reed-lined channels and across shallow lagoons looking out for wildlife.

  • DAY 7 & 8: Makgadikgadi National Park

On today’s 50 minute flight you may see the vast salt pans of the Makgadikgadi shimmering in the distance, before touching down and transferring to your lodge. Leroo La Tau is perfectly positioned to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this unique region with its elevated position overlooking the Boteti River – an oasis of green in the scrubby bush surroundings.

During your two night stay, enjoy game drives along the river banks and boat rides (seasonal). You may see a herd of elephant crossing the river, lion prowling in the bush or during the winter months, large herds of zebra drinking from the river.

  • DAY 9: Maun

after a relaxing end to your safari, it’s just a 35-minute hop back to Maun for your onward arrangements.
